Carlie- the CUTEST dog on the planet!
Meet Carlie, Claudia and Roy's new Rat Terrier. They were so sad when they had to put their sweet Olivia to sleep, and prayed and thought a lot about getting a new dog. Of course, no dog could replace Olivia, but they are thrilled to have a new puppy in their lives... and we are too. It's like being puppy grandparents- we can have a dog, but not have a dog. Thanks, Claudia and Roy! :) Is she not the cutest thing you've seen? I guess she be full-grown at 12-14

Sushi
Oh, I almost forgot. The picture of Brennen and Chris in the jeep (Chris's 25-year-old "new" toy) is of Chris taking Brennen out for sushi for his birthday. Brennen loves it- especially the salmon pieces! Crazy, huh?
Brennen turns 8!
As hard as it is for us to believe.... Brennen is 8! He announced to us, "Hey, I'm half-way to driving!!" What?? :) We had a great Pirate Birthday Slumber Party where 5 of his friends and his brothers joined him for a treasure hunt, sword decorating, pizza, cake, games, movie and hot tub. It was a party!! Brennen brings so much joy to our hearts. We are truly blessed to be his parents!

Brennen's Baptism
On July 28, Brennen was Baptized in the Poudre River along with a few other people from our church. In the water with him was Chris, who baptized him, and another elder from our church named Terry. As a parent it is so special and wonderful to see your kid want to make a public statement that he has accepted Jesus as his Savior and he wants to follow Him. This was something that Brennen initiated with us in February, and he wanted to wait until summer so he could do it in the river. When Chris asked him why he wanted to be baptized he said, "Because God said it is time, and I want to obey Him." We pray that Brennen will continue to grow in his faith and that we can be real and true examples to him in our lives as his parents. What a responsibility!
Oh, the joys of childhood. At Chuck-E-Cheese the driving
age is Four!!!
This is Nathan's little friend from church named Elyssa. She came and told me at a play date we had that she is going to marry Nathan. I love little girls.... so cute. Right now, though, they
are just great buds.
After all the fun at Chuck-E-Cheese, the "big boys" played with
Nathan's new submarine toy in the hot tub while Jaden napped.
