Our "English/American" Family!!

On September 29, Mom, Ethan and I had the wonderful opportunity to travel across the ocean (with a short stop going the other direction to Seattle... ummm, long story) to visit Ryan and Gill in Bath, England. It was a wonderful trip! Ryan and Gill, along with their "babies" Candy and Marty (cat/kitten) were spectacular hosts. We came home October 8. One cool thing was that we got to celebrate Ryan (Oct 8), Ethan (Oct 8) and Mom's (Oct 7) birthdays together. It was so special!

Warwick Castle

Here is a picture of Mom and Ryan at Warwick Castle in the Cotswolds... the English countryside. We spent most of our time relaxing and touring in Bath, which is a beautiful city about the size of Fort Collins. Ryan and Gill are so blessed to live there! But, we did enjoy our overnight trip to see the castle... that was really on Ethan's list of "things to do"! One other fun thing that we got to do was take a ride on some old steam engines that have been restored and outfitted as they used to be when they ran. I think the trains we were on were from the 1950's.

Ethan and I had such a great time with Mom, Gill and Ryan. Here we are on a beautiful day in Bath. What a blessing to be able to enjoy such a wonderful time with my family... I can't believe we've almost been back for a month. The time flies! Thank you Chris and Claudia for making the trip possible by helping with the other kiddos. :)
